Nestled just 3km from Dullstroom, Millstream Farm has evolved from its humble beginnings into one of South Africa’s premier getaways. Steeped in history and rich in heritage, our farm is more than just a destination, it’s a place where nature’s beauty meets cherished family traditions.
Today, Millstream Farm continues to honour its heritage while embracing modern comforts. Guests can enjoy fly-fishing in our 21 well-stocked lakes, dams, ponds and river weirs, hiking scenic trails, birdwatching, horseback riding, game viewing and simply unwinding in the beauty of nature.
Just a short drive from Dullstroom’s famous restaurants, whiskey bars, and boutique shops, Millstream Farm remains a cornerstone of the Highlands Meander, where tradition and adventure come together.

Beyond Millstream
Conservation & Environmental Projects
Protecting the natural heritage of the Highlands.
Millstream Farm is actively involved in environmental projects and conservation initiatives aimed at protecting our natural surroundings and supporting ongoing research
Research Collaborations
Millstream Farm provides accommodation and access to our property for master's students from the University of Pretoria.
Research has been conducted on the African clawless otter and other predators, focusing on their impact on trout populations.
Fundraising Support
We contribute to local fundraising efforts by donating our trout waters for fishing competitions and offering complimentary accommodation as prizes.
Alien Species Eradication
Since 1997, we have been committed to removing invasive vegetation, including blue gum and eucalyptus trees, and replacing invasive species with indigenous plants.
We also target other invasive plants, including Verbena brasiliensis, cotoneaster, inkberry, Scottish thistle and prickly pear.
Fire Protection
We actively assist the local Platbona Area Fire Protection Association (PAFPA) during the late summer season to help remove invasive vegetation.

We support vaccinations and emergency treatment for dogs in the local community.
Diana Institute
We assist the Diana Institute in providing school essentials for children in Dullstroom.
SANEL
Millstream Farm supports SANEL, an epilepsy centre.
Supporting Local Fly-Fishing
Supporting the sport and its traditions.
Fly-fishing is an important part of Millstream Farm's heritage.
We proudly sponsor the use of our trout waters for the annual men's and ladies' fly-fishing tournaments.
Through this sponsorship, we continue to support local fly-fishing events and the angling community.
